New York State Scholastic Clay Youth Target Program 2009Now that the 2009 season has ended, we'd like to wish all the kids a safe and productive school season. Pay attention to your teachers and keep your grades up! Now, it's time to shoot for the best at school. We'll see you all next year. We will still be available for advice, concerns, or private lessons. Your coaches, 2010The program will be starting again in March or April depending on the weather. Anyone who wishes to be added to the youth contact list for 2010, please email your contact information to kddk51@msn.com. The Youth Clay Target Program is focused on providing young people with a positive experience in the shooting sports. It is designed to instill in young people a set of personal values or character traits that teaches fair play, compassionate understanding, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, leadership skills, self-discipline and personal commitment. The program activities are designed to incorporate two indispensable elements - SAFETY AND FUN. Competition is a part of the program, but it is not the underlying principle. The "win-at-all costs" philosophy has no place in the youth program. Striving to win while playing by the rules does. Girls and boys (minimum age-12 years old) from 6th grade through high school are eligible to participate in the Skeet and Sporting Clays target sports.
